A Comparison of Morpho-Syntactic Development in monolingual and bilingual Preschoolers

چکیده
The present study aims to compare the language development of normal Persian and Persian-Turkish preschoolers using PDSS as a morpho-syntactic measure determine if bilingualism has any effects on development. Subjects included 30 Persian- Turkish from middle social class in three age groups 37-46, 47-56, 57-66 months old. Language background ASQ II questionnaires were completed by children’s parents order match subjects terms their some abilities like problem-solving, communication, personal-social skills. Picture description storytelling was used way collect samples subjects. Intragroup intergroup comparisons done ANOVA independent t-test, respectively. correlation between scores both indicates score sensitivity age. Moreover, results show that monolinguals outperform bilingual peers procedure only at In sum, no evidence found support positive effect preschoolers.
